Inspired by the many reports of the Prince’s tour, the satirical magazine Punch published this cartoon of a photographer attempting to capture the Sphinx in Egypt. Although no reference is made to the Prince of Wales or Francis Bedford, the association would have been obvious to the contemporary readership.
