Before reaching the Sea of Galilee, the Prince had paid a visit to the encampment of the Bedouin leader Agyle Agha. He is seen in the painting standing before the Prince of Wales, who is seated in a white robe with his travelling companions. Agyle Agha had assisted a number of Christians during the religious conflict of 1860, and was well-known and respected by the European community as a result. Commissioned by the Prince of Wales in 1863
