Decorated with complex cloisonné enamels of neo-Russian or Pan-Slavic style. This kovsh is typical of the advanced style of the enameller, Feodor Rückert, who worked for Fabergé in Moscow but also sold pieces independently. The kovsh bears English import marks for 1911, indicating that it was sold through the London branch of Fabergé.

Possibly acquired by King Edward VII
