The Prince of Wales’s watercolours, depict exotic locations, and were made during his holiday periods. The watercolour displayed depicts the Selous Game Reserve in Tanzania. This is a 21,100 square mile UNESCO world heritage site in southern Tanzania. The reserve is home to a diverse range of wildlife including elephants, crocodiles and hippopotami. No humans are permitted to reside permanently within the reserve, nor are man-made structures permitted.
