A folio from a sketchbook or patternbook. On the recto: a personification of Fortitude - a standing draped woman holding a column. Inscribed at lower left, 'F.P.'. The composition corresponds in reverse with an etching after Parmigianino, marked 'F.P.' (Bartsch XVI, p. 23, no. 14). Parmigianino's original drawing is probably that at Chatsworth.
