A folio from a sketchbook or patternbook. On the recto: a woman advancing to the right, holding a wreath in both hands. Inscribed at lower right, 'F.P.'. The composition corresponds with an etching after Parmigianino, marked 'F.P.' (Bartsch XVI, p. 26, no. 23).
On the verso: A philosopher seated in profile to the right. The composition corresponds in reverse with an etching after Parmigianino, marked 'F.P.' (Bartsch XVI, p. 24, no. 19). The original drawing is probably that at Chatsworth.
