A large copy after a portion of the frieze of the story of Niobe, painted by Polidoro on the facade of Palazzo Milesi, Rome. The worshippers of Niobe approach from the right, including a man leading a horse on which a woman is mounted, bringing offerings, doves, a ram, vases, etc; on the right, a recumbent female figure with a cornucopia.
