A large copy after a portion of the frieze of the story of Niobe, painted by Polidoro on the facade of Palazzo Milesi, Rome. The people worshipping Latona; the statue of the goddess raised on a decorated altar, men & women kneel or stand at either side or on a platform of two steps.
