Pen and ink with wash | 11.0 x 6.5 cm (sheet of paper) | RCIN 990567
-
A drawing of two putti embracing and advancing towards the front, of unknown purpose; apparently of Parmigianino's Roman period. On the verso, a slight sketch in red chalk, apparently of a human figure.
Provenance
From a small album of 30 drawings by Parmigianino, listed in 1727 at Kensington Palace; the album probably from the collection of Thomas Howard, 14th Earl of Arundel, and probably acquired by Charles II.
