A nude youth, seated, with his feet on part of an octagonal frame, supporting another frame above his head. A study for Parmigianino's frescoes in the vault of the church of Santa Maria della Steccata in his home town of Parma: see RCIN 990547 for more details.
Provenance
From a small album of 30 drawings by Parmigianino, listed in 1727 at Kensington Palace; the album probably from the collection of Thomas Howard, 14th Earl of Arundel, and probably acquired by Charles II.
