Jacques Callot (1592-1635)
Two anatomical studies c.1625
-
Two studies from an armless and headless écorché figure, the skin flayed to show the muscles, seen from the back. The drawing was attributed to the Cavaliere d'Arpino by Popham (in P&W), but this drawing and 990464 are en suite with other écorchés by Jacques Callot, such as Uffizi 2631-F and British Museum Fawk.5213.
