Bartolomeo Passarotti (1529-92)
Studies of feet 1560-92

-
A sheet of studies of feet, recto and verso, hinged to the mount. Popham (in P&W) thought 'there can be little doubt that these are by Bartolommeo himself'. Höper (1987) catalogued the drawing among the studio works, but the freedom and assuredness of the penwork support an attribution to Passarotti.
Provenance
Presumably in the Royal Collection by 1800, but not identifiable in George III's Inventory A.
