St Andrew and St Nicholas

A drawing of St Andrew and St Nicholas. The bearded figure of St Andrew stands on the left of the sheet holding the X-shaped cross of his martyrdom. St Nicholas is on the right, wearing vestments and a Bishop's mitre . He holds a crozier in one hand and a book in the other. The drawing is stamped at lower left with the five-pointed star mark associated with Nicholas Lanier (Lugt 2886). It is inscribed in a seventeenth-century hand at lower right: Fra Bartolomeo
