Two unrelated sheets pasted together. Above, a sketch of the Virgin ascending steps to embrace St Anne; below, two caryatids in heavy drapery. The caryatids are more obviously Orsi's work than the Visitation, but both seem to be his.
Provenance
Presumably in the Royal Collection by 1800, but not identifiable in George III's Inventory A.
