A drawing of a monk, dramatically lit, half length and turned three quarters to the left. He carries a sagging bundle over his shoulder. The old mount apparently had an attribution to Guglielmo Cortese, and this is borne out by the style of the drawing.

Probably acquired by George III in 1762 as part of the collection of Cardinal Alessandro Albani
