A pencil drawing showing a scene of a group of men, from the play The Corsican Brothers. Probably a preparatory sketch for RCIN 980008.z. Two men are attending to a man who is lying on the ground to the lower left. A man is shown in the centre, dressed in a shirt with his sleeves rolled up. He is facing a man in a top hat who is shown from behind. A man in a top hat and cape is shown to the right, running away. Inscribed above mounted sheet: This sketch was made by Her Majesty from the Play of "The Corsican Brothers" performed at Windsor Castle - 1852. The Corsican Brothers was never performed at Windsor Castle. Queen Victoria did however see the play performed on both 28 February and 23 March 1852 at the Princess's Theatre, London.
