While staying at Balmoral, the royal family made many expeditions to local beauty spots. On 25 September 1865 Princess Louise visited the Linn of Quoich with her mother, Queen Victoria, sister, Princess Alice, and sister-in-law, Princess Alexandra of Wales. -
