An engraving of part of a frieze, probably for the staircase-hall of the Neues Museum at Berlin: putti, hybrid creatures and animals amidst foliate scrollwork representing myths and allegories. The frescoes illustrating the history of mankind for the Neues Museum, Berlin, were executed by Kaulbach's pupils and completed in 1860.
