A pen and ink drawing showing a medieval queen and a pageboy. Both figures are shown full-length, walking to the left and facing left in profile. The queen is shown holding a book in her hands. A further study of the female figure is shown in pencil to the right, possibly executed by a different hand.
Provenance
From the collection of May Anne Hull, nurse to the Royal children. They were passed at her death on to Baroness Rosenkrauts and then to Leonard Noble who presented them to the library in 1940.
