Princess Louise of Prussia married Frederick Prince Regent of Baden on 20 September 1856. Princess Louise was the younger sister of Prince Frederick William of Prussia who became engaged to Victoria Princess Royal in 1855. Queen Victoria wrote in her journal entry of 20 September 1856 "I feel deeply for [Louise's] Mother and cannot think HOW she will exist without her precious child" possibly thinking of her own 'precious child's' upcoming nuptials. -
