A watercolour on embossed paper showing a card celebrating the wedding anniversary of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. The royal couple's hands are shown clasped together in the centre, surrounded by an ouroboros. The initials VA and a ribbon inscribed with the date are shown behind. A winged angel is shown looking down on them from above. A pink ribbon is shown below, above a large white flower, inscribed: Treu und fest
A border of forget-me-nots is shown around the image, inside an embossed frame.
Queen Victoria's children often made cards and drawings for their parents as gifts on important dates, such as this watercolour which was presented to the royal couple for their wedding anniversary on 10 February 1856.
