An oval shaped watercolour showing a fishing boat on a beach. One fisherman is shown on board, pulling a net over the far side of the boat, and another is shown seated on the beach with his nets in front of him. Inscribed lower left: For Dearest Mama May 24th 1858.

Queen Victoria's children often made cards and drawings for their parents as presents on important dates, such as this drawing executed by Princess Louise for her mother's 39th birthday on 24 May 1858.
