-
A pencil portrait of the Queen, with touches of coloured crayon and watercolour. She is shown facing to the left, her hair in a bun. Prince Albert was Queen Victoria’s first cousin. He was brought up in Coburg, Germany, and shared her interest in art. On 10 February 1840 they were married in the Chapel Royal, St James's Palace. This portrait of Victoria was sketched by Albert in that same year.
