A watercolour showing Loch Goil, Scotland. The loch is shown in the foreground with mountains shown in the background. A rowing boat is shown on the loch to the right. Inscribed below pasted down sheet: Range of Hills near Loch Goyle [sic], with the duke of Argyll's Bowling green. VR del on board the V. & A. Aug: 13. 1849. Queen Victoria made her first visit to Ireland in August 1849. She sailed up the east coast of Ireland before sailing across to Scotland, and down the River Clyde to Glasgow on the Royal Yacht, Victoria & Albert.
