Inscribed below pasted down sheet: Osborne from the Sea. Inscribed lower right: VR del on board the Victoria & Albert off Osborne. Aug: 9 - 1852. On 9 August 1852, Queen Victoria and her family stayed on the Royal Yacht, Victoria & Albert, anchored in Osborne Bay, before setting sail for Belgium the next day.
