A watercolour showing a view of parkland at Claremont. Branches are shown across the foreground to the upper left, with trees shown dotted across the park behind. Further trees are shown in the background. Inscribed below mounted sheet: View at Claremont. VR del June - 19 - 1847. Queen Victoria stayed at Claremont from 19 to 21 June 1847. In her journal entry of 19 June 1847, Queen Victoria describes how it was "extremely fine & very warm, & Claremont in great beauty. I sat out & drew till near 7".
