Inscribed below: Falmouth Harbour Sept: 4 - 1846. VR & Albert del begun on board & finished afterwards. - On 2 September 1846, Queen Victoria sailed from Osborne House to Jersey with her husband, Prince Albert and some of their children. The Royal family anchored off the island until the evening of 4 September 1846 when they sailed on to Cornwall, anchoring at Falmouth Harbour.
