Queen Victoria stayed at the Maison Mottet, part of the Hotel de l'Europe in Aix-les-Bains from the 6 to 28 April 1887. In her journal entry of 26 April 1887, Queen Victoria describes how she "took a very pretty drive below the Nivolet & Revard. Stopped, to take tea, & sketched, the Duet du Chat with the hill of Tresserve." -
