Queen Victoria stayed in the Villa Hohenlohe, Baden, from 29 March to 10 April 1876, during a trip to Germany. The Villa Hohenlohe, formally the Villa Delmar, was left to Queen Victoria by her half-sister, Princess Feodora of Leiningen on her death in 1872. In her journal entry of 2 April 1876, Queen Victoria describes how she "drove to the waterfall at Gerolsau which is a beautiful drive up a valley". -
