A watercolour showing a view of Baden-Baden from a window at the Villa Hohenlohe. Trees are shown in a valley in the foreground, with mountains shown in the background to the left. Inscribed lower left: F[ro]m Villa Hohenlohe f[ro]m my window April 1880. Queen Victoria stayed in the Villa Hohenlohe, Baden-Baden, from 26 March to 15 April 1880. The Villa Hohenlohe, formally the Villa Delmar, was left to Queen Victoria by her half-sister, Princess Feodore of Leiningen on her death in 1872.
