Inscribed lower left: In Invercauld Tea Oct: [?1]4. 1879 While staying at Balmoral Queen Victoria made many expeditions to local beauty spots. The Queen visited Invercauld on 14 October 1879 with her daughter Princess Beatrice and members of their household. While at Invercauld the royal party stopped for tea.
