Hills are shown to the left, inscribed below: F[ro]m Above Slatterdale Sept: 17. 1877 Loch Maree looking up. A valley is shown in the foreground to the right, with hills shown in the background. Inscribed below: [illegible word] Moray Firth Sept: 12. 77 Queen Victoria stayed at the Loch Maree Hotel from 12 to 18 September 1877. The royal party travelled to Loch Maree from Balmoral by train on 12 September 1877, passing by Inverness and Moray Firth. On 17 September 1877 Queen Victoria visited nearby Slatterdale.
