A watercolour showing a view from the balcony of the Villa Hohenlohe, Baden-Baden. Two small houses are shown in a valley, with trees shown all around. Hills are shown either side and in the background. Inscribed lower left: VR March 30. 1876 - From my Balcony of Villa Hohenlohe Baden Baden. Queen Victoria stayed in the Villa Hohenlohe, Baden-Baden, from 29 March to 10 April 1876, during a trip to Germany. The Villa Hohenlohe, formally the Villa Delmar, was left to Queen Victoria by her half-sister, Princess Feodore of Leiningen on her death in 1872.
