A watercolour with touches of pen and ink showing a view of Glen Fyne. A small group of trees are shown in the glen in the foreground, with hills shown behind. Inscribed below mounted sheet: Sep 27 Glen Fine [sic] Queen Victoria stayed at Inverary Castle from 22 to 29 September 1875 as a guest of the Duke of Argyll, the father of her son-in-law the Marquess of Lorne. The Queen's daughter Princess Louise had married the Marquess of Lorne on 21 March 1871. On 25 September 1875 Queen Victoria explored the areas around nearby Loch Fyne with her daughters Princess Louise and Princess Beatrice and their host the Duke of Argyll.
