Two peaks are shown on either side sloping down towards the centre, with further peaks shown behind. Inscribed lower left: Fluelln [sic] Aug: 11. 1868. Queen Victoria stayed at Pension Wallis, Lucerne from 7 August to 9 September 1868. The Queen wanted to see the Alps, which her beloved Prince Albert had visited before their marriage, and her doctors had also advised the Queen that the fresh air would be good for her health. On 11 August 1868 the royal party travelled across Lake Lucerne to Flüelen by steamer.
