Verso: first half of RCIN 980040.w While staying at Balmoral Queen Victoria made many expeditions to local beauty spots. In her journal entry of 18 September 1865, Queen Victoria describes how she rode up Craig Gowan with two of her daughters, Princess Alice and Princess Helena.
