Inscribed on RCIN 980040.r verso, lower left: From the Corrie Buibh [sic] May 23. 1865. Inscribed below mounted sheet: from the top of Bowman's moss May 23 - 1865. While staying at Balmoral Queen Victoria made many expeditions to local beauty spots. On 23 May 1865 the Queen went for a drive with her daughter Princess Helena.
