A watercolour showing a view of the Meall an t-Slugain. A path is shown in the foreground, curving around a rock. Two large sticks are shown upright on the edge of the path. Highland hills are shown in the background. Inscribed below mounted sheet: On the Path up the Sluggan [sic] June 23. 1865. This sketchbook has been mounted and rebound, it is likely that Queen Victoria made a mistake with the date when writing the new inscriptions on the folios. Queen Victoria actually visited the Meall an t-Slugain with the Duchess of Atholl on 23 June 1866.
