A watercolour showing a view of a Highland landscape near Aberarder. Mountains are shown in the background with a glen stretching out below. Inscribed below pasted down sheet: In Aberarder. Oct: 28 - 1866. While staying at Balmoral, Queen Victoria made many expeditions to local beauty spots. On 28 October 1866, the Queen went on a drive with her third daughter, Princess Helena, and her son-in-law Prince Christian of Schleswig-Holstein.
