A watercolour showing a view of a Highland landscape. A mountain is shown in the background, probably Lochnagar. Tree tops are shown in the foreground with a valley shown behind, covered in heather. Inscribed on RCIN 980037.ac verso: Aug 1864 Loch [?Nagar] [three illegible words]. While staying at Balmoral Queen Victoria made many expeditions to local beauty spots, often sketching what she saw.
