A pencil drawing showing a view of the grounds of Penrhyn Castle. The Snowdonia Mountains, can be seen in the background. Inscribed lower left: From bedroom window at Penrhyn Castle. 17 Oct: 59 - Queen Victoria and her family stayed at Penrhyn Castle, North Wales, from 15 to 17 October 1859. While there, Queen Victoria slept on a one ton slate bed which had been specially made for her visit.
