While staying at Balmoral Queen Victoria made many expeditions to local beauty spots. On 1 October 1851 the Queen and two of her children accompanied Prince Albert on a deer stalking trip. Queen Victoria, the Prince of Wales and Princess Alice waited in the Choire Buidhe while the Prince Consort tracked a herd of deer near Craig Doin. -
