Description

An ink drawing showing Queen Victoria's third child Princess Alice as an infant. She is shown seated on her nurse's lap, facing left in profile. She is wearing a nineteenth-century child's dress and a frilled cap. A further pencil study of the Princess' face is shown in the upper left corner.
