Princess Victoria of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha was the daughter of both Queen Victoria and Prince Albert's uncle Ferdinand of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. Princess Victoria was a close friend of Queen Victoria and childhood playmate of Prince Albert. Princess Victoria visited the Queen in England with her father and brothers from 3 June to 11 September 1839. In her journal entry of 22 August 1839, Queen Victoria described how she "remained then sitting in dear Victoire's room... and drew her". -
