Princess Victoria stayed at Norris Castle, Isle of Wight, from 1 July 1833 to 5 November 1833. During her stay she made many trips on a Yacht called The Emerald.
On 8 October 1833, Princess Victoria went sailing on The Emerald with her governess, Lehzen, and some of the Conroy family. The sailing party took Bijou on board along with Princess Victoria's beloved King Charles Spaniel Dash. -
