A watercolour with gold paint showing the opera singer Giuditta Pasta as the title character in Bellini's opera Norma. She is shown full-length, facing forward and standing on a raised platform. She is dressed in Classical-Roman-inspired theatrical costume with an elaborate gold headdress.

Giuditta Pasta was an Italian soprano, considered to be one of the greatest opera singers of the nineteenth century. She is credited with creating the role Norma in Milan in 1831. Princess Victoria saw Norma performed at the King's Theatre on 22 June 1833. -
