A Faberge double photograph frame, the two frames of octagonal shape of blue enamel. The frames of gold are joined by a hinge ending at the top and bottom in an acorn finial. The edge of the frames and oval reserves with laurel leaf border. Frames contain photographs of Queen Elizabeth and George VI.

This frame, in one of Fabergé’s most successful and popular shades of blue, is enamelled in guilloché in a basket-weave pattern. The hinge is chased with an acorn at both ends and the mounts of gold are decorated with a laurel leaf border. The frame contains portraits of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth taken by Dorothy Wilding in 1946, in advance of the tour of southern Africa undertaken by the King and Queen with their daughters in 1947.
