Child's rattle and whistle of gold with naturally shaped coral teething handle and six rattle-bells. Circular in section with chased floral band and borders of milled and herring-bone ornament. In dark purple velvet-covered rounded rectangular case with gilt stamped VRI monogram on top and oblong brass plaque inside which reads 'Coral & Bells used by Queen Victoria when a child. Also used by her Children and by her Grandchildren.'
