A ground plan of the Sri Ranganathaswamy temple in Tamil Nadu. This is one of three related architectural drawings in the Royal Collection (see also RCINs 930166 and 930167) drawn in pen-and-ink and wash by local south Indian draughtsmen in the service of the East India Company. They were commissioned by Colin MacKenzie, the first Surveyor-General of India as part of the Company's project to survey Southern India under British rule.
