An oval wooden bowl with Pictish animals carved around the rim, and four small feet.
The designs on the bowl were inspired by objects from the St Ninian's Isle Treasure, a group of 8th century, Pictish objects discovered on the island, off the coast of Shetland, in the 1950s.Provenance
Presented to Queen Elizabeth II by the Trustees of the Port and Harbour of Lerwick on the occasion of the visit to Holmsgarth, Lerwick, 9 May 1981.
